Game of Thrones Season 8 Scripts

Game of Thrones Season 8 Scripts for all six episodes have been completed as of Wednesday July 26, 2017. The same was confirmed by HBO programming president Casey Bloys at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour:-

“It’s a big season, So they’re trying to get a sense of how long they’re going to take to film this.”

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episodes Duration

The duration for Game of Thrones Season 8 episodes is also expected to follow the footsteps of Game of Thrones Season 7. This is what Casey Bloys had to say about it:-

“I imagine they’ll be longer but … I’m not sure [how long],We haven’t had that discussion yet because I don’t know how long the episodes are going to be. Two hours per episode seems like it would be excessive, but it’s a great show, so who knows?”

    This sucks!! Awful writing

    • wastheman

They are rushing the shit out of these last two seasons so that’s expected

    • fan2000

Martin is a huge fan of LOTR. Aragon and Arwen had happy ending, sad about the lost of life of so many. But the main protagnist survived. It surprises me to think that Martin would kill off all the protagnists. Especially since Fire and Ice is about Dany and Jon.

  • baba

These are merely the first set or iteration of the scripts, none of them are fully confirmed so there may be many changes….

    • Lisa Woods Zimmerman

There may be changes, but not to major plot points, if these are real as season 7 leaks were. Makes total sense to me, honestly. Just look at where they’ve taken Sansa so far. She is completely being set up to rule as a comoetent, stable queen. And it’s no surprise the baby would be a girl. Everything in this series has been about females.

  • 1512125

Well, if you think this will have a happy ending you clearly haven’t been paying attention.

    • Brittany James

I have been paying attention. My response is to the spoilers I read for season 8. Based on what I read it is NOT ending. That’s my opinion. Okay 1512125.

    • Brittany James

What? I have been paying attention. But, that doesn’t mean that some of the characters want have some sort of resovle at the end or some sort of happiness. That’s just what in would like to see happen

      • rockiesfan_303

Brittany, he was quoting Ramsay there. Clearly, you have not been paying attention.

  • Ash

    can anyone comfirm these leaks

    • fan2000

I heard on Riddit that they believe it to be fanmade. Don’t know if that helps. But after pictures start leaking aroud December, we wil know.

  • Snowlocke

These script leaks, IF true, are absolutley horrible. Season 8 will be just tragedy after tragedy. It actually made me kind of sick, the thought that these might be true. All 3 dragons, Jon, Dany, The Hound, Jorah, Bran, Jamie, Breann… all dead. That’s depressing as hell. It’s just killing for shock value. I know there must be more to these scripts, but, the outlying decisions suck big time (again, if these leaks are true).
This can’t be George R. R. Martin’s endgame. It just seems absurd. I know that both Jon and Dany probably can’t survive the show/book, but, both of them?? And in such disappointing ways? To kill off 4 great charactors and a dragon in an accidental explosion??? C’mon. So much for the prophecies, too. What, is Varys Azor Ahai? Bran’s huge storyline just to end because he tried to warg a dragon and failed and for him to be the new night king? So, in the end, no wheel is broken and the white walkers are not defeated? What is the point? Everything is the same as when the story started. Plus, the people of Westeros are just gonna except another Targaryen as their ruler and the father killing Lannister as their king regent while the baby grow up??? If these scripts are real, then I hope many fans see them and start writing HBO and Martin about changing them. God, they’re aweful.

    • Brittany James

      I totally agree with you.

    • MsDanceALot

Martin said he could never kill off Arya, Bran and Dany. That’s what Martin said. Fuck D&D.

  • Jodie

    Ah, I feel so conflicted.
-Euron being the final hurdle seems really inappropriate to me. The whole series has undermined the importance of feudal power and satirised it. Therefore, to have the last battle being for king’s landing and not for humanity against the night king does not sit well with me.
-Plus, making Gendry and Sansa a couple will break a lot of hearts. I love that Arya is a strong, independent woman. Yet, being an independent woman does not equate to having to prove that by being alone. Perhaps, she just is not interested in westeros after all of this and that would make sense with her speech about ‘what is left of Westeros?’ She obviously does want to see more of the world and that is exciting. However, from reading the books and watching the show, I loved how the bull seemed to develop deep respect and caring for Arya due to her aspirations and view of herself being very different from the traditional view of women in a feudal society. Therefore, Sansa, who at least used to aspire towards this traditional idea, would not fit with Gendry, in my view-point. However, obviously, she is very different from her younger self and is a very strong figure, now.
    – I can’t say conclusively, without the gap of the night king’s death being filled, but it seems like the ‘prince that was promised’ prophecy has been side-lined. If the circle of seasons just continues with a replacement night king, then there has been no conclusive dawn. Unless, Lyanna is then going to fight this re-emerging threat and fulfill this prophecy. Heart’s bane being used to kill Dany made me think that this was suppose to be light-bringer but then, at that point, the night king is already dead. Sorry folks, super-confused.
    – Cersei’s prophecy also seems to be sidelined. To me, it only made sense that Jamie would kill her as I placed him in the role of the prince that was promised and the volunqar. I thought light-bringer would be born from being plunged into the heart of Cersei- then Jamie would go on and end the night king. Two prophecies, one stone sort of thing. Therefore, Arya killing her may circle back to her list but isn’t completely satisfying. Plus, Cersei is such an incredible (and terrible) character, I feel like more poetic justice is needed. Her manipulation of Jamie is so apparent in season 7 so far and is one thing she trusts as under her control. Jamie being her end would have been very poetic, to me.
Sorry for the rant folks. Needed to get it out of my system without spoiling what I read for my friends haha.

I think you delusional idiots are forgetting that this show will not have a good ending. I’m a huge got fan and even I can see that they are rushing the absolute shit out of this show. You can see that the writing for Season 7 is weak af so you can expect that season 8 will have some terrible ass writing. Also these scripts are probably missing some pieces

    • Jei Doomhammer

An uhappy and ending and a poorly written ending are two completely different things. These read like bad fanfiction, not a bittersweet finale.

  • Micni

“Yara and Theon inform Tyrion, Davos Samwell and Missandei about the wildfire explosion and that Jon, his brother and Jorah probably didn’t make it out alive.”

  • Agha Hussain

The only thing I give a shit about in the show, the only major thing they didn’t butcher (they did neglect him but anyway) is Theon… Fucking Theon, most complex character in the books and even the show’s awful writing didn’t really ruin him. Give him a happy ending. Please!

  • Agha Hussain

On a side note it’s funny people talking about logic; the show is a fucking 2/10 piece of shit when it comes to anything pertaining to logic or the laws of space and time (yes, fasttracking, I know, but this is just ridiculous) and realities of the universe itself. These guys literally FORGET stuff. Robert’s Rebellion based on a lie? No, you morons, Aerys still called for his head, and annullment doesn’t work like that when Rhaegar got 2 kids already. Fuck this shit.

  • Vera Radvila

Look, guys, there is actually one major plot hole in all this BS which proves it all to be just a fake.
It is related to Bran’s death. Or, rather, to the details of his death.

Ok, let’s assume he really dies.
What does episode 2 of this plot say? He is being stabbed to death by White Walkers while the Night King atop Viserion is fighting warged Rhaegal.
“The White Walkers also enters the stage with the Night King flying Undead Viserion above them. Bran is managing to warg inside Rhaegal and the dragon starts to fight undead Viserion, trying to bite him right in the neck but gets gravely injured during the fight as well. Rhaegal starts to breathe fire on Viserion, which seems to make the Night King start leaving the battlefield on injured Viserion’s back. Viserion and Rhaegal keep fighting each other and both start to be seriously injured. It seems like dragonfire can harm the Night King. The White Walkers stab Bran to death, which makes Rhaegal fall to the ground and to be stabbed to death by Wights”.
The text presumes that during all the fight the Night King remained mounted on Viserion’s back, there’s no mention of him getting to the ground and going after Bran. These are WW instead who kill Bran.

However. What do we have in episode 6 final? “A single White Walker rides to and brings the body of Bran Stark to an altar. Remember that the Night King stabbed Bran in episode 2. He was stabbed in the heart with Dragonglass”. WTF?! How can the Night King be in two different placed at the same time? This is an obvious contradiction to episode 2 plot. And this what proves the whole thing to be made up.

What is more, there is another presumable plot hole.
Remember S7E6 scene when all of the wights fall apart as soon as Jon kills a White Walker who lead them? Later on Jon, Jorah and Beric gave a good explanation to that: together with this particular White Walker disappeared everything he personally turned into wights. And they conclude that killing the Night King would destroy the whole army of the dead as the vast majority of wights and, likely, all the other White Walkers were created by him. So, if the Night King is killed, how the hell a single White Walker survives to the end?

  • James Sollami

Its all fake, don’t worry, just fan made garbage that isn’t even good. So don’t worry and have a good laugh at this stuff.

  • Antonio Fernández Secilla

As a fan I wait with all my forces, that was only fan fiction. If this will be the final of the show, will be as sad as possible. I mean Jon and Danny earn at least dying together, and the rest of the character´s that will die in the blast are true extremely important characters. Finally, the worst for me are two points, First Dany will die alone, how could be that “The prince that was promised” is not at least present in that moment. Second, and probably the worst is that Jon not even accept his role and died keeping his great secret with him (at least is not public), never accept his responsibility, not as king, not as father, not as couple … deeply sad for me and of course with no sense also. Finally, Danny always reflects that she´s in love with Jon but he (according to the plots) is a sea of doubts. For that reason I will cross my fingers, becouse the best fictional series of the entire history must have an end according with that, if not a romantic finish at least a WORTHY finish, for characters that the most part of the fans love (Jamie,Jon, Danny, the hound, Jorah, etc).

I don’t think these are the real scripts. Seems more like wishful thinking on some level. Too many fantheories have been combined in this. I know this isn’t going to have a happy ending. After all happy is not a synonym of bittersweet. The road to the finale seems a little too unhappy And the ending a bit too happy.
