What is Super Mario World Cartridge Hack
Super Mario World cartridge hack is a set of corrupted save data which is loaded into your Super Mario World cartridge. The corrupted save data in turn has a program stored onto it. This program has two functions; run a hex editor and the ability to run custom mods. In short, you can run custom code while playing Super Mario World on your SNES console.
Once you have the hex editor up and running, you can also modify contents of the RAM. This means you can change Mario’s powers, and eventually make Mario invincible. You can also beat your current level with the press of a button, the possibilities are endless once you have the hex editor loaded onto your Super Mario World Cartridge. The exploit was discovered by Cooper Harasyn, and he worked with Sethbling & Mr Cheeze to permanently jailbreak a SuperMario World cartridge.
Any mod you create will reside in the memory of the cartridge, and you will be able run it alongside the rest of the game. An example of a mod is the Telekinesis mod by p4plus2. The Telekinesis mod allows you to move move one enemy at a time. Check out the gif of Telekinesis mod in action below.
