Razer Phone Bootloader Unlock: Razer Phone is an Android smartphone released by gaming company Razer. It boasts of a 5.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. No other smartphone in the world has a display with a refresh rate of 120Ghz (at the time of writing this article). Anyways, going about the specs of the Razer Phone is not the point of this article. As with most Android devices unlocking the bootloader is the first step towards customizing your device. In this post, we are going to outline the process of Razer Phone bootloader unlocks.
How To : Razer Phone Bootloader Unlock (Windows, Mac and Linux)

Unlocking the bootloader will wipe your data so make sure you backup your data.
Download and Install Google drivers for Windows (Mac and Linux users need no drivers). Once installed please restart your Windows machine.
Make sure your Razer Phone is charged 70-80 percent.
Step 1 – Enable USB debugging and OEM Unlock
On your Razer Phone, go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Info and tap on build number 7-8 times. You will see a message “You are now a developer”. At this point head back to Settings and you will see an option called Developer Options.
Once in developer options, enable USB Debugging and OEM unlock.
Once done connect Razer Phone to computer using a usb cable. You should get a popup on the Razer Phone, accept it and trust the computer.
Step 2 – Setup ADB & Fastboot
Setup adb and fastboot on your computer (Windows, Mac or Linux) by following the steps listed in the link below.
Step 3 – Boot Razer Phone into fastboot mode
- Connect Razer Phone to computer using usb cable.
- Open command prompt (for Windows) or Terminal (for Mac and Linux).
- Navigate to platform-tools folder and issue below command.
adb reboot bootloader
Mac or Linux
./adb reboot bootloader
Step 4 – Razer Phone Bootloader Unlock
Once in fastboot mode connect Razer Phone to computer using usb cable. Open command prompt (for Windows) or Terminal (for Mac and Linux). Navigate to platform-tools folder.
Enter below command to check if device was connected successfully.
fastboot -i 0x1532 devices Mac or Linux
./fastboot -i 0x1532 devices
You will see your device’s serial number show up if device was connected successfully. If not then something is wrong with drivers.
Next, enter below command to unlock the bootloader.
fastboot -i 0x1532 flashing unlock
Mac or Linux
./fastboot -i 0x1532 flashing unlock
You will see a warning message about Unlock Bootloader on Razer Phone 5T, use Volume buttons to navigate to Yes and Power button to select Yes.
Your device will now reboot, wipe all data and then boot into Android.
