Moto Z lineup is up for a refresh and leaks are starting to come in. First up is the Moto Z2 Play which has ben leaked by none other than Evan Blass.
Moto Z2 Play will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and the Adreno 506 graphical processing unit, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. A 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920, which ensures compatibility with existing Moto Mods. Coming to the cameras, we have a 12-megapixel f/1.7 rear camera with dual autofocus pixels, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. All this will be powered by a 3000mAh battery. Moving to the dimensions, we are looking at a six millimeter device weighing in at 146 grams and will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
Moto Z2 Play will be available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold, and will be the first out of three devices to be released in the Moto Z refresh. Other than the Moto Z series, we will also see the Moto C and C Plus, the Moto E4 and E4 Plus released in 2017.
When compared to the current Moto Z Play, Moto Z2 Play looks like a step-down in some departments. Moto Z Play has a 3510mAh battery, and a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera. The picture quality on the Moto Z2 Play should be better because of the f/1.7 camera, but the battery backup will definitely go down.
