Ever since tvaddons community went down Exodus users have been facing a lot of issues, from finding a working repository to install from, to search by Movies and TV series not working in Exodus itself. Those of you facing an issue with installing Exodus make sure to read our Fix Exodus Could Not Connect to Repository post. In this post we are going to tell you how to fix Exodus search. The process is pretty easy and requires you to have a Amazon Fire TV with a working internet connection. The process works on both Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Fire TV Stick.
How to Fix Exodus Search on Amazon Fire TV – June 2017

Make sure you have installed Downloader and ES File Explorer on your Amazon Fire TV. If not just hit the links below to install these two apps.
Step 1 – Download New tvshows.py and movies.py files
Open Downloader app on your Fire TV/Stick and download new tvshows.py and movies.py files by entering below addresses.
The files will be downloaded in folder named Downloader on your Amazon Fire TV/Stick.
Step 2 – Enable Hidden Files in ES File Explorer
Open ES File Explorer app on your Amazon Fire TV/Stick and select Settings -> Display Settings and make sure Show Hidden Files check box is checked.
Step 3 – Select and Copy New Files
Open ES File Explorer app on your Amazon Fire TV/Stick and select Internal Storage, and then select Downloader folder. Once inside Downloader folder navigate to tvshows.py file, press and hold Enter/Select button on remote until you see a green tick on the file. Next navigate to movies.py file and press the Enter/Select button on the remote to select that file as well.
Now navigate to Copy option and press Enter/Select button. We have just copied the two files. Click the back button until you reach the Home Screen of ES File Explorer.
Step 4 – Paste New Files
On Home Screen of ES File Explorer, select Internal Storage. Next navigate to below path
Android -> data -> org.xbmc.kodi -> files -> .kodi -> addons -> plugins.video.exodus -> resources -> lib -> indexers
Once inside indexers folder select Paste and select Overwrite in the popup window.
Once in org.xbmc.kodi you may have issues selecting files folder. All you need to do is navigate to Settings in the side bar, and then press right key on Navigation circle on Amazon Fire TV remote.
Step 5 – Exit ES File Explorer
Now you can press the back button multiple times to exit out of ES File Explorer. Open Kodi and then Exodus and your search should be working fine now.
