Tips to Get Your Blog Content Noticed

I’ve made a list of the most important things you need to do to your blog Get Your Blog Content Noticed. Let’s get started!

TIP 1: WRITE QUALITY CONTENT

If you don’t do anything else from this list, make sure you focus on this first tip. No one is going to subscribe to your blog nor will they engage with what you have to say if you aren’t spitting out quality content on a regular basis. Learning how to craft quality blog posts takes time and experience.

Every blog post you write should have a teaser headline, a powerful introduction, valuable information throughout the body, and a clear call to action.

Along with the items above, it is critical that the content you write about has value and a purpose that your readers will find helpful. How do you do that?

Do research on which topics and niches do the best. If you pick a highly-saturated niche, it is going to be very difficult to stand out over the other bloggers if you aren’t coming up with new ideas.

TIP 2: BE ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The majority of your subscribers will be on multiple social media platforms. Facebook is by far one of the best platforms to get your content noticed.

If you are present on social media, make sure you let your readers know how to follow you. Put your social media follow icons everywhere possible so that it’s easy for your readers to find you.

Facebook groups have consistently given me more traffic, but they do take a lot of work. Share your content within these groups to get more views, shares, and comments.

Pinterest is also a gold mine for bloggers. A high-quality post with an attractive pin image has the potential to go viral. If you want to learn more about how to automate your pins, try out Tailwind for free.

TIP 3: ENGAGE WITH OTHER BLOGGERS

One of the best ways to gain new subscribers is to engage with other like-minded bloggers. The more other bloggers get to know you and trust you as an authority in your niche, the more they will engage and share your content.

Facebook groups and Pinterest boards are great places to find other bloggers in your niche. For Facebook, you can simply search for groups in your niche. With Pinterest, follow another well-known blogger in your niche, then follow his or her followers.

TIP 4: CREATE VIDEOS

YouTube videos are all the rage right now for bloggers. Videos are a fantastic way to let your readers see and hear you as opposed to only reading what you have to say. Starting a YouTube channel is very easy (and fun!).

The same expectations apply to videos as they do for your blog posts. If you aren’t creating valuable content, no one will watch. Do something different, something interesting, show off your expertise in ways you can’t in written communications.

TIP 5: POST CONSISTENTLY

One of the worst things you can do is to fall into a blogging black hole. Create a posting schedule consistent and stick on it. The more you pump out new and valuable content, the more activity you are going to get. If you only post once a month, you are likely to be forgotten.

TIP 6: FOCUS ON SEO

Search Engine Optimization is one of the best ways to get organic traffic from search engines. By using the right keywords, you’ll be able to rank better than other blog posts and see an increase in traffic. There are many keyword research tools out there. I use one named Ahref but this is paid, if you are interested in them, there are some good options available.

A great way to get long-tail keywords or even blog post titles is to do a search for your topic on Google. At the bottom of the search results, you’ll see some related topics. You can take those topics and use them to your advantage.

TIP 7: GIVE SOMETHING AWAY

Nothing sends a ton of traffic to your blog more than a giveaway. Giveaways, if done correctly, can bring you loads of traffic. The more valuable of a giveaway item you offer your readers, the better turnout you will see.

If you participate in affiliate marketing, reach out to the marketing manager to ask if they would be willing to send you a product to review and giveaway.

TIP 8: ASK PEOPLE TO VISIT YOUR SITE

I know it may feel a little sleazy, but ask people you know to visit your blog. Friends and family are more likely to share your content because they know you.

Ask your social media followers or email subscribers to visit your latest post. You can do this by including a dynamic call-to-action at the bottom of your post.
